Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies UseHirable uses, why we use them, and the choices available to you.

It applies to usehirable.com and platform surfaces including the dashboard, job search tools, and interview preparation features.

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the website to recognise your device on return visits and remember information about your session.

Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels. Cookies may be first-party or third-party, and may be session-based or persistent.

Cookies We Use

  • Authentication and session cookies, including access and refresh token cookies, used to sign you in, keep your account session secure, refresh your session, protect authenticated API requests, and let the browser extension confirm your UseHirable session when you use extension features.
  • Security and device storage used to recognise the device used for login, support session management, and help secure account access.
  • Consent and preference cookies used to remember your cookie choices and basic dashboard preferences such as sidebar state.
  • Email connection and OAuth state cookies used to complete Gmail/email connection redirects, verify the connection request, and restore the authenticated session after the provider redirects back to UseHirable.
  • Billing and checkout session storage used to complete checkout, payment-method, subscription, and billing flows.
  • Product reliability storage used to preserve in-progress workflows, including browser push subscription metadata for enabled alerts and mock interview draft or upload recovery state.
  • Analytics cookies and similar tools used to understand product usage and improve performance.
  • Marketing and measurement technologies used to understand campaigns and improve acquisition where permitted.
  • Payment, support, monitoring, and integration technologies used by trusted providers that help operate the service.

Third-Party Cookie Providers

Third-party providers may set and control their own cookies independently of UseHirable. These may include providers such as PostHog, Google, Meta, TikTok, Stripe, Customer.io, and Sentry depending on which services are active.

Their cookies are subject to their own privacy and cookie policies. We recommend reviewing those policies directly.

Changes and Contact

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add technologies, change providers, or when applicable law changes.
